Hi, I've been practicing Goju-Ryu karate for a month and 1/2 now. I'm really liking it and think I will stick with it until black belt. At which time I will probably take on a different martial art so that I gain mixed experience. I'll probably take on WTF Taekwondo or something. I really like Goju-Ryu because it's traditional. I like how every move has to be perfect and I am liking the curriculum for yellow belt so far (The basics, that is). I do a lot of training by myself too...in the summer time I like to train out in open fields just by myself. In any system of martial arts things have to be done a specific way...I like to throw in some of my own stuff. Like I like kicking with the ball of the foot and I really like the spin hook and wheel kick, which are not apart of Goju-Ryu's curriculum (at least in the school I'm training under). Overall I think it's a great style of martial arts, and I can't wait until I become really good at it!! Cheesy
