How could I forget.

Neil was my first black belt.

Duncan is back training up north and phoned me last week. Good news.

Paul Enfield is a 6th Dan and teaches full time in California. Awesome!

Ernie helped set up the dojo in Cowley, thanks Ern.

Big Big Mick is moving back into Oxford and threatens to return and take black belt, (he's now 65 years young).

Nobody mentioned Gary Holman. Gary is doing Goju in Canada and when I heard from him last he was 2nd Dan, glad to hear it!

The Oxford Karate Academy has a long history, one that goes back to the earlyt 1970's. It brings a lump to the throat seeing the old names acknowledged online. It is something that is long overdue. So many great people, so much history, so many good times. They need to be shared.

Come on Paul, lets see the photos from the first Pool convention, it was a moment in history. Tell the story of the long Satruday in Reading with James when all we did was 2000 front kicks with each leg and could not walk to the train station afterwords.

The great parties, training sessions in Oxford and all over the world deserve a mention and lets be honest, many of your people from the 70, 80 and 90s deserve more than a simple mention. They were truly the essence of martial arts training and many gave you many years of dedicated service.

Oxford Karate Acedemy has a long history, it started in the 1970s, lets be proud of it, share it. Paul, get the old photos out and get them online, I would love to see all the old faces.
